Dr. Bening is a Psychiatrist and Certified Brain Health Coach. She has over a decade of psychiatric experience and was a Medical Director at a substance abuse rehabilitation center for 3 years. She pays special attention to individual needs as shaped by each client’s history, specific context, and stressful or traumatic life experiences/circumstances. She approaches patients with warmth, understanding and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment and a sense of comfort and trust. Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University, she received her Medical Degree at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and then her psychiatric residency training at UT Southwestern Programs in Austin, Texas.
