Laura was born in Waco, Texas and raised in Irving, Texas by both parents alongside three older half-brothers.
During her childhood, she experienced the tragic loss of one of her brothers, who attempted suicide and was later diagnosed with drug-induced psychosis, schizophrenia, and unspecified bipolar depression.
Sadly, he did not survive his condition and was fatally shot by a police officer in Orange County, California—an individual who likely lacked the training to appropriately handle someone experiencing a severe mental health crisis.
