Dr. Lauri Mendelzon graduated from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 after early acceptance into the veterinary program. She currently lives in Austin and is the proud owner of "Cole" (lab/shep mix) and "Romeo" (black lab). She has done emergency medicine since 2006 along with relief work in the area. Her interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery.
My name is Dr. Dustin Zimmer, I am the medical director at VCA Northwest Hills Animal Hospital. I am originally from St. Helena, California in the heart of beautiful Napa Valley. My family moved here in 2010 to Austin, and we love it here! My wife Jacquelyn is also a veterinarian in the southwest area of Austin. We have a beautiful daughter named Scarlett and we just celebrated the birth of our son, Ashton. We have two birds, Speckles a green cheek conure, and Potter an african grey. We also have a boxer named Josie, and a cat named Mai Tai. I am very excited to meet our amazing clients here at VCA Northwest Hills Animal Hospital, and to take care of all your pets needs.
Dr. Womack is a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed an internship in small animal emergency medicine at the Veterinary Emergency Center in Richmond, Virginia. She has worked as an emergency veterinarian in Austin since 2008. She recently joined the VCA Northwest Hills team to explore the joys of day practice. In her time away from work, Dr. Womack enjoys biking, swimming, bird watching, and classic films. She even has a dog named Gary Cooper.
