  J. Ryan Brewer

  D.O.

  J. Ryan Brewer, D.O. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Brewer is a fast riser in the world of ophthalmology and has been one of the highest volume LASIK surgeons in the United States Air Force over the past three years. Already in his career, Dr. Brewer has held Chief of Ophthalmology positions at two large hospital practices and has been a professor of medicine at four different medical schools. We are very excited to have Dr. Brewer on board with us at LasikPlus as he brings a wealth of experience in LASIK and refractive surgery with him. As a Flight Surgeon, Dr. Brewer flew many hours in high-performance fighter jets including the F-16 and T-38 airframes. He applied this knowledge to his patients, many of them pilots, ensuring mission readiness for our Nation’s elite warriors using military-grade LASIK. As a section chief in ophthalmology, he performed thousands of refractive surgeries while refining his facility’s LASIK techniques to reduce risk and enhance visual outcomes. In his free time, Dr. Brewer enjoys spending time with his growing family, exercising and running and enjoying the outdoors in sunny Southern Texas. “My LASIK philosophy centers around the patient and their individual needs and concerns. Our team provides an environment of comfort and understanding while having fun with what we’ve been entrusted to do.   Bruce January, M.D.

  Having performed more than 114,000 refractive surgery procedures, Dr. January is considered one of the most prolific and experienced refractive surgeons in the world. Dr. January is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, which honored him with the Lifelong Education Award, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. January earned a medical degree from the University of Tennessee and completed an ophthalmology residency at the internationally recognized, top-ranked Emory University Eye Center in Atlanta. Dedicated to inspiring children to achieve their dreams, Dr. January speaks at schools serving the underprivileged. In his free time, Dr. January enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, gardening and “Anything to do with health, diet, and physical fitness”. He stated, “My life’s ambition is to help people see more clearly with refractive surgery. I’m completely devoted to LASIK; it’s all I do. I strive to be the best of the best for my patients, and am blessed to have the privilege to change someone’s life within 24 hours with the gift of clearer vision.”
